when nolan says its a dream of his i think its more simple and the film is about making a film. i read somewhere about that theory and IMO that made the most sense. You got

Cobb who is the director he has to make sure everything is done right and gets all the people around him for this Inception.

Arthur who pretty much does all the research and sets up the dreams in the movie is much like a producer.

Ariadne who creates the world there in much like a screenwriter would.

Eames is the guy who can play the role of other characters and is even scene at a vanity at one point is clearly the actor.

Yusuf is the guy that does all the technical stuff in the movie like making the dreams more powerful and such is like a person that would be needed to even get a movie off the ground.

Saito is the guy that just wants the thing incepted and is willing to pay big money for the best inceptor (director) to incept it and this shows the studio, he's there and he feels like hes part of the whole mission but really he's there for the money and power (much like a blockbuster movie)

Fischer the one the inceptor is trying to incept is the audience.

there is so much more i read about it and i'll try to find the read but it was awesome and made so much sense when reading it.

i mean a movie is fake much like a dream but when you deep into a film then you can still get emotionally attatched to it and the better it is the more attatched. if a movie is bad then you pick the flaws of the acting or what can be possible or not. and in this movie if you change to many stuff around fischer selfconscience can sense bullshit and call the inceptor on trying to force an issue.

FOUND THE READ

http://www.chud.com/articles/article...ION/Page1.html

its pretty cool theory IMO

What is real? And how can you be so sure you are not dreaming right now?

I thought Inception was good, but the first thing that came to mind was Howie Mandel in Hansel & Gretel.

Descartes' solution was that the waking world is more coherent than the dream world, it is linear and guaranteed by memory.

Same here. Ordered 11/11 by phone and haven't gotten any "shipped" emails and no activity on my card.

I have news for you. You dream every night you are asleep, during REM sleep. You don't always remember the dreams. If you didn't, you wouldn't get any recuperative rest. You would eventually either go insane or die. People can sleep for hours without REM stages and feel like they have had no sleep.

That might explain why I feel like shit after the usual dreamless nights

These sets are going for ridiculous amounts on eBay! I'm so happy that it's so cheap here in the UK. You guys in the US were hoping to get this Briefcase set, and when it is finally announced, most of you miss out!

I highly suggest just importing the UK edition, it's region free and EXACTLY the same, no need to pay stupid amounts for it! I have also heard the Americans who have ordered the set got it for even cheaper than the original price on the WB shop, supposedly coming to around $45.

I understand complaints about the DVD disc being Region 2, but it is the Blu-ray we're concerned about!

Not exactly the same. The only thing extra is the comic book but its not exactly the same.
