It sounds like most people on this site think DVD's are better quality than
HD Dvd's.....

I do beleive Blu will eventually win, or else well have 2 formats.....

But since I'm A MOVIE FAN, i bought a HD drive for my 360 so i have access
to all the movies....But that's just me
I think this site is a lot more objective than you give it credit. HD-DVD topics generally are moved to off topic, but not outright deleted or locked like some more 'neutral' sites are.

As far as your xbox player, good for you. However, I do not wish to pay for a clearly inferior product when it comes to sound and video. Just because it is on a disc and in HD doesn't mean I have to buy it either, and I love movies.

I want the best video and sound quality possible in my collection. HD-DVD for purely technical reasons can't offer that -- ever. If I have to wait 2 years before Universal or Paramount see the light so I can resume buying their movies, so be it. I am not going to waste my money buying low bitrate crap with DD only mixes.

The two format thing is a pipe dream. History has proven time and time again, that consumers do not want two competing formats for movies or to a lesser extent music. If both formats remain, HDM will stagnate and never lift off. Want an example? It's been 2 years now and still people wait for a format winner before they will buy.
