I bought cases from the second link. I was fairly happy with my purchase. I am pretty sure I remember reading on here at one point that Casetopia (the first link) shrinkwraps their cases, but they are slightly more expensive. Both sell Viva Elite (Warner, Universal, Fox, Paramount, Summit) and Vortex (Disney, Sony).

Do the Viva Elite cases have a raised etched blu-ray logo?

No. Elites have the silver-foil logo (used to be cheaply printed), uniform and flat with the case. Vortex cases are the only ones that have the raised logo.

Dah was going to get more of the Best Buy double disc cases but they're up to $12.99 a pack now, can't believe how quickly I barreled through the 20 I bought when they went on sale.

How close are the best buy cases to the actual factory cases the blu-rays come in?

They appear to be the exact same size, the disc hubs are slightly different, the cases are pretty sturdy too. I like them and recommend them to people looking to get some.

It really just depends on how much you care about the cases. To the average person, you probably can't tell the difference a whole lot. But the cases at Best Buy are more square-shaped. And even though they do have the raised Blu-ray logo on them, it's not colored...so everything is completely blue. Generic cases are good for the average person, but of course for around the same price, you could get the official ones too.

Where can you get the official ones from? straight from Paramount, Disney, Sony, etc?

No problem. I'm not sure why, but the only way to get the official cases are from secondary sellers like those two are.

Only ones I've gotten at Blockbuster for free were the very thin ones...exactly like the cases in the Ultimate Matrix Collection.

So I have like 15 single disc cases laying around and a few 2 disc cases laying around. Thinking about swapping out all of those cheap eco cases for these.

Sorry if this was previously asked or if my questions sounds friviolous to you but I was wondering whether it would be possible to take out the artwork from a fat U.K. blu-ray case and then insert it to a slim U.S. blu-ray case because I really want my cases to take as little space as they case.

It won't really line up right and going from Fat to Slim means extra paper.

You could trim it, but at that point I'd suggest grabbing a new cover off some message board and printing it out.

There's a bunch of people on THIS site who print SICK covers for Blu-ray.

I slightly trim mine, and then they fit perfectly. That's my recommendation for you.
