I'll at least post one of my thoughts since someone above said it might be picked up by a "real" member and posted as a thread (but I don't want to be a member of any forum that doesn't welcome me).
Here's the thought -- last night I used my two-day old PS3 to play a "normal" DVD and was amazed at the quality. I already had an upsampled DVD player, but this quality (on my 9 foot projection screen) was so much better that I wished I had known this or I would have jumped at buying a PS3 long before this. I wanted to know if anyone else had noticed this or perhaps this was just due to the size of my screen that made it apparent. It's clearly one more reason to buy a PS3 (and go blu).
