I don't think Lost was driven by many ideas other than a desire to fool the audience into thinking it was really deep. Perhaps I should watch more than half of it, but lots of people seem to tell me it was at its best in the first couple of seasons - is that not the common consensus? Is the latter half better?
+1. I stop with Lost half way into season 3. Oh! I know now all the fans will say "it got better right after that". Always the same defense. Let's review what Lost was all about.

Week 1 = there is some mysterious things going on over there behind those bushes, let's go have a look and let's hope some one does not die or dissapear while we do so.

Week 2 = Ok so we still don't know what was mystery 1 from week one but look over there, in that field, something weird is going on, let's go have a look, maybe we can find loser number one who got lost, kidnap or kill last week?

Week 3 = Wow! I know we still don't know what happen the previous 2 weeks and we are still looking for Jo, Jack & Jill but can you believe this another mysterious thing is happening on the hill over there, let's go have a look.

Week 4, 5, 6, 7 ....... read review from week 1 to 3 and you will know what happen.

Overall Lost for me was boring. Next time I want to listen to something and not being told what is going on, I can listen to C-Span, at least the clowns on that channel are funnier.
