I liked Battlestar Galactica but I would say Lost. This whole topic is very subjective just like what my favorite move is compared to someone elses. It all depends what your interests are, they were both well made shows. I am the biggest fan of Lost and will be the first to admit that season 3 is the weakest of the series, but it was because the writers did not have an end date to the series and were watering down episodes with pointless content. BSG is strong throughout and have no problem recommending that as well. I will say that both are available on netflix for instant steaming so why not give each show a chance and then make your decision.

Just read the first post where you are watching season 2 of both. If you can only get one now even though I am the bigger lost fan I think you can get BSG for cheaper so you could get that now and always wait till black friday to get lost.

See I only feel that towards the middle of that season. By the end, it's just amping up the end-game when they decided half-way through to plot the rest out.

Of course, the
[Show spoiler]crap at the beginning with all the cages and stuff just gets annoying, but the only real "no point" episodes are the "Locke becomes a grower" and the "Jack goes to the Orient" stuff. Once everything gets going about 3/4 of the way through, it's really clear they finally had an endpoint in sight when they begin to set off the "how we get off the Island" plot. (Oh, and I'm one of the few that *does* like the Nikki and Palo episode, it's a nice little distraction and I just like the story.)
