If Scotty wins it proves two things, this show is bought and paid for like any real "election" and that anybody who thinks Disney Radio is loaded with talent, is a tone deaf R-tard. Haley is clearly the most talented of the bunch, it was a shame James didn't get a chance to redeem himself, but little girls have apparently grown to love flute players. Wonder how many band geeks are crying happy tears tonight as they lay on their lonesome pillows thinking about how many cheerleaders they will get because of Scotty's band geek action.

Also, I can't see why everyone keeps comparing Jame Durbin to Chris Daughtry. Chris is a true rocker and is leaps and bounds better than what James will ever be! James is a little whiny wannabe with absolutely zero talent! I laughed at him while he was crying like a little baby when he got voted off. He is hands down one of the most overrated contestants ever on AI! I'm glad he's finally gone! America finally had some common sense this week.

Way to go displaying compassion for someone with a disability. Over emotionalism can be one of the symptoms of Asperger's. So if he does "cry like a baby" and is a "whiny wannabe" that is part of his disability. And just to be clear, I do agree with you about Chris.

I wasn't talking about his disability. I know what he has. When I said he was a whiny wannabe, I was talking about his style and the way he sings. He's not a rocker. He may think he is, but he's not. Anyone who sounds like he got kicked in the balls when he sings doesn't deserve success.

They are talented. Have you ever tried performing in front of thousands of people or on live tv? Could you do it as an adult? They are teens and can do it. Don't hate on them because you are jealous. It doesn't matter that they got lucky and thrown into the spotlight and are marketed by disney. That helped make them huge but deny they have talent because that is stupid.

I also find it strange that someone who has never once been in the bottom 3 the entire season gets voted off out of no where.

If your expecting the talented to be rewarded all the time...then yes, the system is definitely flawed

If you accept what the show is (and has been) - a popularity contest - there's nothing wrong with it.

I was thinking about it a while back and wouldn't want to see the judges have a hand in it or anything. Then it wouldn't be AMERICAN Idol. I suppose a one vote per phone number limit would make things much more manageable as people wouldn't have to vote for two solid hours to make sure their favorite stays. They could put in their one vote and then wait and see.

Yea, this show is proving More & More that it's nothing but a Popularity Contest disguised as (This year more than ever) an old WWF Event. I mean, what is Up with all the Freakin' SIGNS in the audience???!!!


One of the best All-Time best SINGERS (<--- the POINT of the Show, or so we're lead to believe ), "Adam Lambert", puts on Tremendous Performances TIME & TIME again last year, is CLEARLY the Best & Most Talented Singer (& Performer) the show's EVER SEEN, only to lose to someone who's "okay" or "marginal" at best...

It is obviously now just a show where Teens are voting 50-100 times after each LIVE Performance, voting for the Cute Guy or the Cute Girl, & continually sending the BETTER "SINGERS" home (Pia Toscano prob. SHOULD have WON this year, & she's sent home ahead of at least 7-8 singers who couldn't hold a candle to her Voice. But, I believe she'll have a Huge Career irregardless, the same I think will happen to James Durbin, who had the BEST Male "SINGING" voice this year by ten miles).

Just when you think, "maybe" the most Talented Singer(s) will make it to the final 2, a Chris Daughtry is sent packing 6-8 weeks ahead of the finale', a Pia Toscano, a James Durbin --- All of whom could have/should have been on the Last Show of the year battling it out at the Kodak Theater --- are sent home Way too early. All of which leaves the bitter taste of disappointment in our collective mouths Again, & again, & again... Damn You AMERICAN IDOL!!!!!!

I read the May sweeps ends that Wednesday so they switched the days so both nights' ratings will be counted for the sweeps. It's all about the money after all!
