Default new series of macs to include blu ray drives

After Apple has announced the fabulous financial results recorded in the first trimester of this year, the public is informed, and not by the company, what’s installed for it. The technical specifications of the Power Mac G5, iMac and eMac desktop systems have been published online by Think Secret, and according to the site, none of the systems above won’t include Blu-Ray optical solutions, a fact that doesn’t surprise us.

Although it is not known if the company is going for the new dual-core PowerPC 970MP processors, the most powerful model will be a 2.7 GHz dual system, fitted with 512 MB RAM (which can “only” be supplemented to 8 GB of memory), a 250 GB hard disk and an ATI Radeon 9650 with 256 MB RRD SDRAM

The iMacs are not left behind, Apple also improving this system.

First of all, the iMac models will be improved from the graphics card point of view, being fitted with ATI Radeon 9600 with 128MB RAM. Other improvements are the USB 2.0 support, and the hottest iMac, the 20 inch model, will be powered by a 2 GHz processor, 512 MB RAM, a SuperDrive and a 250 GB hard disk.

eMac-ul doesn’t give up and contrary to the rumors circulating in the last time, the system will be relaunched in two new versions, benefiting from 1.4 GHz processors and ATI Radeon 9600 video cards. The low-end eMac will include a combo drive, a 80Gb hard disk and 256 MB RAM, and the high-end system will be fitted with a SuperDrive, a 160 GB drive and 512 MB of RAM.
