I keep hearing a lot of people asking for when this and that will be released on Blu when some titles are really unnecessary. For example, Family Guy, Simpsons series, etc.
You can scan movies from the film roll at whatever resolution you want and thus that will benefit. Digital mediums shot in HD will benefit. However, shows and films made in 480 cannot get any higher. Sure, it could benefit from a professional restoration and upscaling but is that worth it and will it even happen? What other titles do you guys think can't/won't benefit much from a Blu ray release. Here's my list for obvious reasons: Blaire Witch Project (stupid film) Super Size Me Any animated show that was not made into a film print (nearly all cartoons from the 80's through the 2000's.) P.S. Is it true that the current series 19 of The Simpsons is animated in 720p or 1080p? Last edited by Mermen79; 01-13-2008 at 05:02 AM. |
