Default dlptv @ 1080p

It has come to my attention that digital signal processing AKA dlp is a new technology that holds much promise for high resolution, high contrast ratio yet cheaper tv sets. Recently many leading consumer electronics like mitsubishi, samsung, toshiba etc have announced dlp sets with 1080p as standard resolution that will be sold starting this summer. Best thing is that prices I've are below 5k mark and sometimes close to 3k mark for 50" set.
But they also seem bulky and though not as thick as say crt screen they do seem to have considerable space at the back and their weight at least from the specs I've seen is mostly above 100lbs+. This is just one deal on the internet I found for 61" 1080p dlp with 10000:1 contrast ration and it certainly seems intriguing 8) . http://www.radarcity.com/product?prod_id=8241&refer=6
Does anyone have these sets and can you share your experiences?
