Blu-ray Samurai

![]() Quote:
TCM was shot on a 16mm film stock, and thusly has a much higher level of grain texture than 35mm (which, of course, nearly all movies are shot in). The BD is extraordinarily faithful to the newly struck print I saw at the American Cinematheque around 2003. If you hate grain, forget it. If you like Blu-ray to give as accurate a replication of the theatrical experience as possible, fire it up. You won't be disappointed. Last edited by notops; 09-12-2011 at 05:12 AM. |
