Agreed! I loved it! Kind of sad Mikael is gone. I thought we might see more of for a couple episodes. Really sad there won't be any new episodes till next year

Guess I'll be watching season 1/2

I was wondering one thing though. Klaus keeps hauling his "family" around in those coffins. I thought the only family he had was Mikael, Rebekah, and Elijah? And Elijah is the only one that's been dead so he would be the only one in a coffin. Are there other members we don't know about I wonder? Because I highly doubt Klaus is hauling around empty coffins.

Gone for 2 months!!!

I hate it when they make shows take long breaks. For anyone not watching this show for fear it's "Twilightish" are really missing out on a fantastic series that keeps getting better and better.

I think they should put in a big twist and not have Mikael be dead. They never did explain how Daemon convinced Mikael to hand over the ash stake. Could of been a fake to really let Klaus believe he killed Mikael to free Stefan so Stefan could go find Mikael's family before killing Klaus. As for Mikael's "death scene" they could of used Bonnie to fake it will some fire spell. Sadly I don't think that is the way the writers will go but whats the point anymore? Klaus doesn't want Elena dead and Stefan is free. They could of just parted ways until Stefan messed things up.

I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical when the premiere aired. I have been watching since day one and love it. Great series and would put it up against True Blood any day......

Watching season 2 on BD for the first time right now, should be a good refresher before season 3 continues in January.

Personally I think TVD surpasses True Blood. I saw Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerholder and Paul Wesley on an award show and instantly noticed their connection which led me to finally watching the show. And it's now extremely close up there with Dexter to me, which is kinda hard to do.

The first thing I noticed was Elena, Damon and Stefan's chemistry with each other, I was somewhat blown away by it. The cast as a whole works great together and there's not one person I wish would leave the show. Caroline was the only person I didn't love right away but that quickly changed.

So do you agree with me that it either is already or has the potential to be better than Buffy? Oh and I just realized Matt is really the Xander Harris of the show.

I've honestly never seen Buffy. Well, I've seen parts but not enough to compare. I was young when it started and ended so it wasn't my type of show to watch at the time. I was thinking about just buying the complete series

I think it has a chance of being better, if not already. But I know hardcore Buffy fans will never agree with that. Most people will look at Vampire Diaries as the Twilight on TV, but it's not even close.

I missed a LOT of season 2 so this is kind of like seeing it for the first time and I have to say, like WoWP, this show would definitely be in the conversation for my favourite show ever. At least so far, let's see how much longer it goes and how it ends.
