Entertainment in Video have f***ed up again!

I was really looking forward to watching “Death Sentence” on Blu-ray and with it being a Fox title I was looking forward to hearing some DTS HDMA that all fox titles have on Blu-ray. However, for some reason Fox has let Entertainment in Video do this title and not only do we not get a HD sound track we also don’t get a full HD picture - the Picture is a Mpeg4 1080i but they did make a 1080p menu

The default sound on loading the film is Dolby stereo and you have to choose the 5.1 Dolby digital 640kb track from the menu if you want surround sound. I think this is the last Entertainment in Video Blu-ray I will ever buy what with “the Crow” and now this! They have proved to us all that they cant do HD films to save there lives - the only reason Hairspray was good was because New Line Cinema let them have the same encode that they made for their USA release of the Blu-ray.

The film it self is very good so my only recommendation is that if you really must watch this film, that you purchase the DVD and let your player up sample it – the sound and picture quality will be just as good. I would personally wait until Fox releases this title on Blu-Ray itself.
