Default Radio talk show says Warner backs... HD DVD

I was on my way to the grocery store today to get some chips for the superbowl. I happened to have my radio on KFWB 980. This is an AM news station in the LA area. There was a report by Penny Griego regarding Blu-ray and HD DVD. During the report I was thinking that it was sort of slanted towards HD DVD but I wasn't sure until the end. At the end of the report she said that the studios had lined up pretty evenly on both sides. Get this.. she said that Disney, Sony, & MGM had lined up behind Blu-ray and WARNER, Paramount, and Universal had lined up behind HD DVD.

Can you believe that? Warner is lined up behind HD DVD?!?

Now, I am sure that this is not a case of an old report that was re-played because she had sound bites from the CES show in it. As a reporter, you would think that she would have done her homework. She should know that Warner announced Blu-ray exlusivity! It's this kind of reporting that causes the confusion for regular consumers. This station is a CBS station but I don't know if that had anything to do with it or not.

I have already emailed the news director to let him know that this report was flawed. I suggest you do the same. They need to stop this kind of irresponsible reporting!

If you want to email the news director for this station you can find his email by following this link or you will find it below if it has not been removed.

If you do send an email keep it civil. This could be an honest mistake.
