It's a decent film and the transfer is sublime in terms of colours and sharpness but to me the 3D is somewhat tame, there were some good 3D shots (the spaceship crash), but they could have taken it a lot further, e.g. the rollercoaster ride was tamer than that in Journey to the Centre of the Earth. This just really felt like a 'looking into a window' 3D film to me for the most part.

Oh, I'm sure there's better movies as far as in-you-face 3D. I haven't had the chance to watch Journey in 3D yet (waiting for that price to come down) but I did see it in the theater and enjoyed it a lot. I guess I'm basing judgement on the fact I've seen Despicable Me no less than 15 times in 2D and now watching in in 3D is like watching it for the first time. That and the fact I'm amazed at the MUCH higher picture quality on my LG than my old 61" Samsung DLP.
