I just had this thought today.
I have Hitachi RP CRT HDTV with 1080i. When I play SD DVD on PS3 my HDTV blinks several times then shows 408p on the screen and then DVD starts playing. Now, when I play SD MPEG videos from internal HDD, MS, or data DVD or data BD-RE, my HDTV stays at 1080i. Does this mean that PS3 doesn't upscale DVDs (yet) but upscales SD MPEG videos when playing from XMB? Anybody has any thought/theory? Last edited by MozartMan; 03-04-2007 at 03:55 AM. |
