I know that this is incredibly juvenile, but someone just posted this in the Lord of the Rings thread, and there are some interesting replies:

I am irritated that these new extended editions do not include a UV digital copy. There are 5 disks in each package and not even a digital copy download.

I still can't wait to get my hands on all 5 dicks sets, but I really wanted more.

Yes they are. I'm very happy so far.

At first look the second one seems worse or as no change has happened but if you look closely the responds has gotten flatter just not consistently. Pay consideration too the 75db line im trying too hold.

So better but nothing crazy. The mids and highs flakiness (i did multiple readings and it all shifted around quite a lot at the 400-500Hz spot and at 1000Hz and up) im sure has too do with my upper rear wall and tricorner absorption there not being installed yet plus maybe the cloud being too far back now after the moving out of the fronts.

Still not a hopeless case i think. The below 100hz nearly haven't changed, not even from the first and thinner panel configuration.

Yes, not a huge difference between the two, but the newer one does seem to be a little more flat overall. Why not install your absoption panels before running your tests?

Because i wanted too be prepared just in case you asked for results. And also there will be a little while before it's the first and pay comes in. So i had too do the Audessey calibration in any case. Might as well prepare a graph while having the mic stand out.

Still im quite pleased with the below 1000Hz and those above should be rather easy too tame down.

Haven't even dared too do readings without Auddesey engaged yet but maybe today. Should be "fun". Maybe just too see how my room acoustics really is. On top of the frequency responds should be the decay times that should be just as important too get under control.

Getting all this fixed could end up as some serious business!
