Yeah, I really like Clapton a lot, but I think Jeff Beck is one of the best. He's just on a completely different level than almost any other guitarists.

What are you up to this evening? I'm watching Cheech & Chong's The Corsican Brothers on tv right now.

I've never really heard Jeff Beck but im sure he's awesome.

Lol Cheech & Chong is fun. I just sat down for a bit of web surfing. Trying too find some good corner traps that's easy too put up but not overly expensive. Everyone keep bashing foam which really was what i were thinking of getting.

Since my added traps i've seen a bit of improvement (2-5db narrowing in that big dip from the graph). I noticed that if i kept the sofa close too the rear the dip/null were the smallest but when distancing it became a bit bigger but then the the 100hz slope and the comb filtering upward got narrower and less pronounced. But it's really hard too be certain as the measurements shift around when the microphone gets a very slight change in position proportional too the room. Perhaps if i get the rear corners fixed i could then distance the sofa slightly and get the best from both worlds.

Maybe this will fix my null once and for all. >Link<

That just looks like a big wooden box.

Adam Sandler Crazy Eyes - YouTube
I'm watching Vampire's Kiss on tv for the first time right now, and thought that shot looked funny. I just found a bigger one and cropped it and made his eyes a little bit bigger.

I need to check out Little Nicky again. I haven't seen it in several years.

It IS just a wooden box but with something in it
[Show spoiler](i hope)
.

You could easily make all that expensive stuff that's on the internet cheaply yourself so that's always what's holding me from ordering. Some day i'll get some pretty prefabricated panels but i'll wait till i can get a more dedicated room for it.

Little Nicky is a really funny movie.

Great avatar.

Yeah, why not make your own wooden box and fill it with rock wool or something?

I like some of Adam Sandler's older stuff like Happy Gilmore, The Water Boy, and Little Nicky, but pretty much all of his newer stuff I've seen really sucks. I haven't even watched any of his movies that have came out in the last couple of years.

I'm just playing around with the avatar. I doubt that it will stick around very long.

True glasswool or rockwool stacked together would work just as good. You pay for not having too get your hands dirty.

Yeah with the newer Sandler movies he's really squeezing it for every drop. He's movies never were masterpieces though.

Yes, but getting your hands dirty is much more affordable.

I think his newer movies are too "date movie" or too "family friendly". I liked him best when he was way over the top and crazy.

Speaking of DIY. I just ordered high density rockwool and fabric for 5 big corner traps and 3 2'x 4' panels. I also got lower density for the cloud as im dropping the foam for that.

So that should be keeping me busy for these following weeks.

What's up Tommy?

Your apartment is going to be one big bass trap before long.

The cloud? Do you mean the ceiling foam I guess?

Yes im taking this away and putting good absorption there instead.

Im a dummy. I concentrated so much on getting all of the calculations for my purchases right that i might have forgotten 1 panel. But let's see if i can't squeeze out as much rockwool as possible. Either way the one i've missed is not super important as it is on the top "two corner" behind and at the top corner 1/4th of the front wall.

Ethan from realtraps among others teach that the front wall doesn't need as much bass trapping so i think im good. It just suck too miss just one trap and having too look at that empty spot all day. But i can think of it this way..I'll never get the frequency responds perfectly flat no matter what i do, So i shouldn't worry about it as long as all of the major issues are addressed (and my room do already sound great ).

And i properly will Joe. Hehe.

I just did some quick calculating and found that i had enough rockwool for roughly 1 and a half 2' by 4' traps extra. And if i need some microsuede i can steal that from my subwoofer risers which haven't yet gotten sowed into proper squares or the backing of most of my old panels.

It will then sound like two million bucks as my room already sounds like a million lol.

After everything you've done, I'm sure your room sounds amazing already. I'm just starting to wonder if you're ever going to reach the point that you say "There! Everything is perfect and I'm finished."

Oh my God, I just found out that Michael Clarke Duncan passed away today.

From Wiki: "On July 13, 2012, Duncan was sent to the hospital after suffering from a heart attack. It was reported that his girlfriend, Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth, potentially saved his life by performing CPR before he was transported to the hospital.

Duncan's publicist Joy Fehily said in a statement on August 6, 2012 that he was moved from the intensive care unit but remained hospitalized following his July 13 heart attack.

On September 3, 2012, a publicist quoted Manigault as saying that Duncan had died that morning in Los Angeles at the age of 54. "The Oscar-nominated actor suffered a myocardial infarction on July 13 and never fully recovered," publicist Joy Fehily said, adding that celebrations of Duncan's life would be announced at a later date."

I thought he was a great actor, and he will be missed. I didn't even know that he had suffered a heart attack almost two months ago.
