Hi Joe.

May i ask you..Have you noticed any trapezoid picture resulting from the way you position your projector too the side of the screen?

The reason i ask is that my pj is a few inches off from the middle of the rear wall and i notice a very slight cut at the left side, becoming more and more pronounced from bottom too top. Do you think this is normal too have a bit of trapezoid?

When I first set mine up, it was a little off, but I kept adjusting the angle of the entire projector unit itself by rotating it to the left or to the right which can make the left or right side of the image bigger or smaller than the other side, and then adjusting the front feet that screw in/out to get it balanced front to back which can make the top or bottom of the image bigger or smaller. Then I used the horizontal and vertical lens shift knobs on the top of the unit to get it to the exact spot that I wanted it.

I spent many, many hours adjusting the left/right angle and the up/down angle of the projector unit itself, and the lens shift knobs. I did this over and over again to get it exactly right before I trimmed out the image on the front wall. I used a tape measure and made sure that it was exactly right to the millimeter, measuring from the ceiling, the floor, the left wall, and the right wall.

I measured from eight different points:

See you are an Allan Holdsworth fan.Which album of his is your favourite? Mine are Metal fatigue,but Atavachron is almost hypnoticly mesmerizing

Shame the Big man Hendrix is so low on your list,but each to his own I guess.

What about Kirk Hammet, Dave Mustaine, and Garth Brooks? He doesn't go down til the sun comes up!

Yeah properly nothing else too do than keep moving and tilting it until it looks the part. Im just afraid that the high and slightly off too the side placement of the shelf is what's doing it and i have almost zero space for tweaking.

Even though the cut is not huge (maybe 5-10mm) at the upper extremity.

Metal Fatigue is really good.

I've got Hendrix pretty much right in the middle, and if you'll notice, I said "somewhat in order". It's hard for me to do lists like that. I shuffled them around many times before finally giving up.

) to the left of dead center of my room/screen, and by getting the right angles on the unit itself, plus using the horizontal/vertical lens shift, I've got a perfectly rectangular image down to the millimeter.

Your projector does have horizontal and vertical lens shift doesn't it?

I've been able too get both the top and bottom pretty much perfect. the right side is also perfectly in line so im confused as to what it can be. My screen is a little cheap and knocking up against the the front speakers also so it might be it. Also im pretty sure the screen isn't completely level but the shelf is. Tomorrow i'll properly know more.

Yes sir, it does have both of those lens shifts.

I would assume that you probably know this, but you should never angle the unit itself up/down or left/right at all. Even if it is set up really high or low, or far left or right of the screen, it should always be perfectly level and pointing straight forward. If it is angled down at all, the image will be slightly distorted and smaller on top and bigger on the bottom. If it's angled up, it will be the opposite. If it is angled to the right, the left side will be smaller and the right side will be bigger. If it's angled to the left, it will be the opposite.

You should use the lens shifts to position the image correctly on the screen. If the screen is slightly unlevel, you can adjust the angle of the projector to match up with it.

Mine is so high up that im forced too angle it a little bit downward but i might screw the feet off and try without doing that.
