It'll be pretty much the same as the theater. Opinions will just differ on how good one thinks it was. I personally thought it was solid when it was used. One shouldn't expect scenes that are only dialogue to be filmed in 3D.

See, now I'm worried that I'm going to be disappointed because the 3D trailer that I've seen was pretty great, especially the first-person perspective sequences.

They reminded me of a super-powered version of the PS3 game, Mirror's Edge, which I loved:

...The thought of seeing that with strong 3D was pretty exciting for me. Here's hoping those sequences are stand-outs, at least.

And I don't have a 3D TV, but I'll buy the 3D version as long as it comes with the regular blu-ray, and isn't more than $5 more expensive (in case I get a 3D TV in the future). I have a PS3, so my blu-ray player is already 3D capable.

Thanks in advance
Lots of Targets have restocked these. Go back and check.. I visited my Super Target when picking up Prometheus this week and they carried plenty with the bonus disc- 2D, and the 3D with Lenticular slipcover.

If this was already covered, I apologize...

I noticed there is a 3D edition being sold that includes, among other things, 2 blu ray discs in 2D format. I assume 1 blu ray is for the film and the 2nd blu ray will consist of the bonus features. Am I correct in thinking this particular 3D version is going to have more bonuses than the standard 2D blu ray release of TASM? My plan as of right now is to buy the 5 disc Target exclusive (unless the 4 disc exclusive is going to have the same 2d bonuses as the 5 disc version)

There will only be a couple of special features exclusive to the 3D disc version of Amazing Spider-Man itself, (1) 3D 101 with Director Mark Webb & (2) 3D Progression Reel. If your not into 3D then there is no need to get the 3D set unless you just want it or plan on upgrading to a 3D tv/set up later on.

The standard 2D bluray version will still have all of the same special features except for the 2 features exclusive to the 3D version. If you only care about the 2D version of the movie & 2D bonus features then go with the 4 disc Target Exclusive.

Yes, the 3D release has 3 Blu-rays (3D, 2D, Special Features) and the DVD. The 2D release still has the other discs in it other than the 3D one.

The special features themselves were just covered by others before me, so I don't need to repeat them.

Anyone got an estimate on how many steelbooks there will be and how fast they will go? I'm guessing they're gonna go quickly. I just want to see what others think. And if I do in-store pick up do i gotta pay right away or when i actually pick it up? Sorry if I sound naive I've just never done the in store pick up before.

You pay when you place the order for in-store pickup. If you pre-order and select shipping, your credit card is charged when the order ships.

I have no idea how many steel books there will be, but it seems they go fast.

If you think that's expensive, this one is $300+.

Man, I thought living in NYC was expensive. I don't know how people in Japan do it.

That's the version I'm getting. I live in Boston. Saved up my pennies, needless to say.

Thank you kindly for this reply. I will stick with the 4 disc Target exclusive based on your recommendation.

Here's another question about In-store pick up. How close to Release day does it pop up? Cause I want to make sure I get my order in. I'm just worried I'll get screwed over

In store pickup shows up on release day. But you can pre-order the steelcase version online now and choose shipping option - that's what I did.

Authorization Process
When you place an order, Best Buy authorizes your credit card to make sure sufficient credit is available. A hold is placed on funds equal to your order total until the order is fulfilled.

Looks like Best Buy technically takes money from your account at the time you place an order but then they don't officially charge you until the order is shipped. Looks like you will have to keep sufficient funds in your account at all times if you want to order from Best Buy or just get a gift card & use it towards the purchase of the steelbook.
