If you like the first two, I'm sure you'll like this one too. The only films that I've seen at the theater this year is The Avengers and TDKR, and I will be going to see The Hobbit. That's it for me this year. It takes a hell of a lot to get me to go to the theater.

I like 4 okay. It might not be quite up to par with the others, but I still enjoy it.

My top picks so far this year are Prometheus, The Avengers, and TDKR.

I had a pretty uneventful day after visiting my doctor. I'm sorry to read that your day was so hectic .....but on a good note ......It's over . And you talking about sandwiches makes me long for one of my favorites

Well, I just did something that I probably shouldn't have. I'm going to be strapped for cash for the next little while because of it , but I just ordered:

The Terminator from the UK has an all new transfer that is supposed to be astounding. I've looked at screenshot comparisons of the old vs new one, and I don't think I've ever seen such a drastic improvement in video quality before. It also has 5.1 DTS-HD MA audio. I never did buy the US version because of all the horrendous reviews I read about it, and I'm really excited to check out this new transfer.

The older UK Optimum release of Terminator 2 that I bought is supposed to look much better than the crappy older US version and the Skynet version that has a bit of DNR which removed some of the finer details and gave it a slightly flat, bland, soft look to it. The Optimum UK original release has no DNR and retains a nice layer of film grain and has more detail. It also has 5.1 DTS-HD MA. I did have the Skynet version a while back, and while it wasn't a disaster, this one is supposed to be considerably better.

Yes, the version of T2 that I just ordered only has the Director's Cut/Special Edition on it, but I prefer that one anyway. I like the part where

[Show spoiler]the T-1000 starts to glitch after being frozen/exploded, and his hands and feet start to replicate the things he touches, also when they switch Arnie's chip and he tries to smile.

Like I said: "I did have the Skynet version a while back, and while it wasn't a disaster, this one is supposed to be considerably better".

It wasn't really bad at all, but from what I've read, this is the exact same transfer as the Skynet version only without the light DNR applied to it. I've seen some screenshot comparisons between the two, and while not a drastic difference, you can see a little more detail.
