Sadly it doesn't seem that you will - it looks like the 2D disc will be the exact same disc as is currently available, judging by the fact that the extras are all identical and limited to what was already on the previous release.

It wasn't supposed to be limited but I think that, with the downturn in 3D re-releases (and also a much shorter IMAX run than they hoped for being as A Good Day to Die Hard takes screens away from them a week later, hence it being announced a couple of weeks ago that it was now a special one-week limited IMAX engagement) I think this is a case of striking while the iron's hot. Get the 3D release in cinemas, make a bit of money off that, get the blu-ray out while everyone is still in the mood for it.

He didn't say it was a better transfer, just that it looked it. And, having seen the downladed HD trailer and having watched it on a cinema screen four times, I agree with him - it does look like a better remaster. There's a difference in colour and detail. How the blu-ray will look no-one can say but it seems an improvement.
