No..I think Tarantino would want to reshape the material in his own image, would completely reinvent Bond's history and would try to turn it into an exploitation film, which seems to be his thing lately.

I love many of Tarantino's films, but I don't think Bond is for him.

But I agree that Waltz would make a great Bond villain because his villains are actually quite intelligent and quite likable. Waltz could make a great case for whatever evil he's trying to impose which would make the relationship between him and Bond far more interesting. In Skyfall, there was never any doubt that Bond would not buy into Silva's arguments about why MI-6 was corrupt. But a villain played by Waltz might make Bond think twice about what he's supporting and that could provide something that we haven't seen before.

The next film will have to be different than Skyfall, but do we really want to go back to some crazy guy who wants to dominate/destroy the world? That was never very believable. Hasn't that been played out too many times already?

Yes we do and no it hasn't.

Rachel Weisz

Many actresses have been vocal about their desire to be a Bond girl.

But who knew Rachel Weisz, who is Bond's real-life gal, wanted to be one, too.
When Weisz, who is married to Bond actor Daniel Craig, was asked by Esquire UK whether
she would take on such a part, she said, "I'd like to! I wouldn't say no.
I'm not a snob about entertainment."

And hey, they'd get to spend more time with each other if they worked together. Win-win.

Other actresses who have made their public bid to play a 007 femme fatale:

Kate Upton
Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover girl Kate Upton is a tad more sheepish when it comes
to revealing her Bond girl aspirations.
"It's a very prestigious title, and it would be a very cool role… I would need to go through
some intense training to learn all the Bond girl moves," she said last year.

Jennifer Aniston
So far Aniston hasn't had luck landing the part, but she let her intention be known in 2009,
telling Elle, "‘I'd love to do an action movie. James Bond! Glamour! Daniel Craig! Sh---loads of fun!"

Jessica Alba
"I'm a huge fan of Bond-ever since I was little," Alba said in 2005.
"I've looked at Bond women as being the most drop-dead gorgeous in the world…
I love the variety of them-they've been black and Asian and white and Eastern
European and everything else."

Kirsten Stewart
Yes, even Kristen Stewart has been vocal about her wish to kiss Bond on film.
But when Daniel Craig heard about her 007 urge, he jokingly protested, "No, she's in 'Twilight'!"

Samantha Barks
From Les Miz to les vixen?
Barks put it out there, telling British media outlet BANG in January, "I've always wanted to play
a very kick-ass character at some stage, like a Bond girl.
That would be very fun.
That's always been a goal in my mind."

Rihanna
It looks like Rachel Weisz' real-life husband, Bond's leading man Daniel Craig, has already staged
her competition.
Just last year, when asked to pick a better Bond girl among Beyonce and Rihanna, Craig chose
Rihanna, saying, "She's dirtier."
Hmm?

No way!

He's too old to play Bond, but there is no reason for actors to retire.

Eli Wallach was still going at 95, and I'm still hoping he'll do some more.

All the talk about bond girls and villans seems to be focused on well know and even famous actors/actresses.

Personally I really don't want the bond girls to be mega-stars. I think the best of them have been relatively unknown at the time they appeared in the series and some of the worst have been mega-stars at the time of thier appearance. I don't think they have to be compeltely new to the big screen but I DO think they should be relatively unknown. The mystery and intrigue that a bond girl should have is hard to achieve by someone that you see in a blockbuster release every year or two... They are just to familiar to pull it off.

For the villan, I think it could be a more familiar actor, but it would have to be the RIGHT one in order to be effective. Again, I think the best bet is to go with someone that is relatively unknow.

Totally agree with you. It would actually just pull me out of the movie.

I agree. Some of the best Bond girls have been relative unknowns such as Izabella Scorupco in Goldeneye and Jane Seymour's acting debut in Live and Let Die.

^ That's Great!

OK, my ideas (feel free to criticise/hate/throw money):

Bond Babe should be Deborah Ann Woll. No real reason. She's relatively unknown.

[Show spoiler]

Bond Baddie should be Cristoph Watz and I certainly don't need to justify that wish! He's amazing. His henchman should be a henchwoman and that henchwoman should be Gina Carano. The series needs another villainess and she kicks ass. Ask Fassbender...

[Show spoiler]

The song should be by Muse; their 2nd Wish album sounds very "Bondian".

The director is mostly irrelevant as they have very little control or input. Saying that, announcing Bigelow would set my heart 'a flutter. I love most of her work. Most not all.

Film it in IMAX! Film it in IMAX! Film it in IMAX!

There's NO excuse to "save money" this time. Not after Skyfall's success. No excuse.

I want the pre-title to take place on board the Queen Mary 2, cruising into New York Harbour. Been over forty years since 007 visited Manhattan. It's a very different place... Later he should journey North to Canada and hence to Australia. Neither nation has ever featured in a Bond film. There should be a horseback chase somewhere; why not?

And the title? Risico The plot can gradually bring back Quantum until at the end they're back in full force, ready for Craig to take them on in Bond 25. Mr White should return although the actor will take some persuading.

[Show spoiler]FILM IT IN IMAX!!!
