It can also be confusing at times. No, please no Nolan.
I completely agree with you but if it makes you feel any better, there will never be a superstar writer/director hired to make a Bond film. He'd have to give up too much creative control to the producers and wouldn't be able to make it all about himself. That goes for about 90% of the suggestions made in this thread so far.

Yeah yeah, I know why there weren't more Bond movies produced in the last 20 years but it's still extremely irritating.
I doubt we'll ever see 007 movies produced as prolifically as they were during the 60's, 70's and 80's...Daniel Craig has a full plate outside the franchise, and there's always some legal/financial problem coming along to gum up the works. Then again, they rushed Quantum Of Solace into theaters two years after Casino Royale to beat an impending writier's strike...and it sucked ass. It's the age-old question: do you want it good or do you want it now?

I'd like to see more bond as well, but I want quality movies. I would be afraid that by rushing 5 or more per decade to theaters they would just be watered down and the quality would suffer. If the studio got real serious about the franchise and did what Disney is doing with Star Wars they could put out one every 2 years (5 per decade) but they would have to be VERY dedicated to doing it in order to be working in pre-production on multiple movies at once.

Three plus years is a long timeto wait between movies, I would prefer it be 24-30 months...but only if they commit to quality. Otherwise, if getting quality means waiting 36 months or so, then I vote for quality over quantity.

I thought pre-production on QOS began even before shooting CR?

Liam Neeson
Willem Dafoe
Iain Glenn
Jeremy Irons
Alan Rickman
Jon Voight
Geoffrey Rush
John Malkovich
Xander Berkeley
Tom Hollander

I would love Dafoe to be in it, but he was technically a Bond villain. He played Nikolai Diavolo in Everything or Nothing which I count as Brosnan's last Bond flick.

For me Skyfall was a very welcome addition to the James Bond opus and Sam Mendes as director helmed the exercise with great care. Thomas Newman's musical score was just right as well. I'd find their collaboration easy to get used to. The absorbing script took us into uncharted waters delving back into Bond's private past and his connection to the original M (Em/Emma) was a true revelation to bring us back and understand more clearly the operation for which Bond is now part of. Here's hoping they keep moving along with the same cast, same creative talent behind the scenes. Obviously Skyfall has been well received.

And do I ever need to say it? NICOLAS CAGE.

I have to disagree with Clooney, though. He sucks.

I'd like to see Al Leong be a henchman, or Danny Trejo. Or myself.

I disagree. I barely even count Brosnan's movies to be actual Bond flicks, let alone the video games. Bring Dafoe on!

Travolta? You would be venturing back to the Roger Moore era. No thanks. Jason isaacs? Absolutely

Why not Jean Dujardin? It'd be ironic since he played a Bond-esque spy in the OSS films and he is terrifically charming and a great actor. I'm sure he can do the villain bit to a T!

Zombie Vesper Lynd! Milla and her Thighs of Justice could join Bond in making sure the b!tch is REALLY dead this time!

I also add Monica Bellucci.
