I've seen Universum's blu-ray. Noise (grain? (
![]() added: The blu-ray looks much better than the DVD, which seemed awful flat looking to me. Hollywood Reporter's story is Paramount Wins 'La Dolce Vita' Lawsuit. Last edited by joie; 06-14-2013 at 12:46 PM. |

Yeah, I don't see the need to keep them or complain about them either. Having said that, when I received a movie from Amazon that had clearly been resealed, I did send them an email. Not because the sticker was missing, but because it wasn't a new copy

I believe my copy of Ride with the Devil was resealed. I didn't complain because the disc was in perfect shape.

I get sent reseated copies more often than not lol. With amazon, they're basically always perfect. Barnes and Noble... A nightmare. If you live in the states, go in to get them. I ordered a shit load of Criterions last year during a sale and half of them arrived with cracked cases and one disc was faulty. Can't wait to hear Criterions next announcement.

And what confuses the issue a bit more is that lately some of the blu-ray artwork inserts look like monkeys were being used to put them inside their cases, all crinkley wrinkley creased bent folded spindled mutilated. It makes some of them look like they've been to hell and back before being re-sealed, when in reality they too are coming out of the factories that way in the first place. (My biggest Criterion packaging pet peeve as of late.) And then there are some that probably were re-sealed. |

I was just browsing Facebook, and I saw that Criterion reposted an article written by a user on their site; "The Exisential Hitman" it's called, and it refers to Jef Costello in Le Samourai.
Is it possible that Le Samourai is slated for an announcement just days away? ![]() |
