Default In Market for 50" Plasma: Considering TH-50PZ77U

http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-TH-5...productDetails

I'm in the market for a new tv, and I am most likely going to purchase a 50" Plasma 1080p (maybe the 720p kuro if it dazzles me when I go to BB to compare) .I've been considering the Panasonic TH-50PZ77U heavily; please see above link that shows price at which I can get it at Amazon with free shipping.

Questions:

1. if anyone here owns this model, can you comment on it? how you like it, etc.?

2. if anyone else is experienced with panasonic plasmas, how would you feel this set differs from the other models? specifically how much different would it be from the new ones, i.e. would I really want to spend 400 more for the new one?

3. has anyone here bought a tv from amazon? I've only bought small items like games and movies, i'd assume their service is great for any product, but I just wanted to ask to make sure.

thanks in advance.
