The aliasing is a mute point as far as I'm concerned. Upon screening the German Blu earlier today, aside from being very impressed, I came to the firm conclusion that the Warner transfer is so embarrassingly bad, any minor setbacks the MGM disc has are, comparatively speaking, entirely inconsequential. Quote:
As I posted on the "Bloodsport / Timecop" thread, get rid of your Warner Blu (unless you like "Timecop") and buy the MGM disc... |

I'd really like to have the U.S. cut on bd, but it will probably never happen. After growing up watching the U.S. cut, I watched the international version recently and oh boy, the music is as bad as many people have mentioned and the dubbing for the Bruce Lee character is different in some scenes and sounds worse in general than the VHS version. Edit: Is the U.S. cut available on DVD anywhere? Don't care if it's a different region. This looks like it might be the U.S. cut but I doubt it. Amazon has the wrong specs frequently. http://www.amazon.com/Retreat-Surren...t+no+surrender Last edited by Captain Mal; 07-18-2013 at 02:56 PM. |

I have that release and saw it a few nights ago.
I never saw Jason meet Kelly; we were introduced to her at her birthday party. I am sure that the longer cut sees the two meet, instead of just him just going to her party like he knew her. EDIT: I now see that there are 3 different cuts? There's 79 mins, 85 mins and 99 mins. The back of mine says 85 mins and the back of the Australian release says 94 mins. Someone with knowledge, please help! Last edited by madridista8700; 07-18-2013 at 03:52 PM. |

I'm pretty sure the 85 minute version is the American cut, which has the extra scene where Jason and Kelly meet. The 94 minute version is the international cut, and it doesn't show Jason and Kelly meet. Haven't heard of the 79 minute cut.

Yeah, the international version is just weird. It omits Jason and Kelly meeting, yet it has a bunch of other added scenes.
