Although I can't find the specific manner described online, I believe it is correct to say that Sony subsidized the Universal SACD catalog in a major way. I have a number of Universal SACD releases and I think an excellent job was done. I love the format and I love Blu-ray, I just wish both could find a market. My classical music collection includes about 2 dozen SACD's but I listen so rarely, that wasn't a wise purchase decision for me. Universal Music released titles on DVD-A and SACD, I sure wish Universal Studios would release on Blu-ray in addtion to HD DVD.
