A bit of a techie question here. Do any of you have a Dish HD DVR connected to a DVD-R in order to permanently transfer recorded DVR programs onto DVD? I've had a Toshiba DVD-R (DV-R3) for a while, but I did not try transferring recorded material until this weekend. Unfortunately, all I got was a black screen when I played it back. I'm using regular composite cables out from the Dish DVR to the signal in section of the DVD-R.
I don't think there's any specific copywright protection locking me out, but I'm not sure. Has anyone been able to successfully do this from a Dish HD DVR? I don't want to continue pursuing this if it's not possible though. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm supposed to bring a news article recording into work, so there's a bit of a deadline approaching. Thanks. |
