Thats perfect thanks! So fed up of damaged plastic cases from Amazon sellers - so will try these

I want a reliable, trustworthy seller/company lol

Thank youuu

Over the past week or so, I've watched the John Cassavetes set. I really can't recommend it enough.

I personally believe that this set is one of the best releases that Criterion has ever put out. John Cassavetes was a tremendous and unique talent who created films about life, similar to the French New Wave of the past. Cassavetes gave birth to the independent film and his subsequent films popularized the genre even further.

All five films in the set are perfect or near perfect, in my opinion, but my favorite has to be The Killing of a Chinese Bookie, followed closely by Faces.

I strongly recommend this release for you folks for the Barnes 'N Noble sale.

I just read the first two chapters of “Blazing Guns on the Chisholm Trail” by Borden Chase, and I'm quite liking it. It looks to be a quick read, so I'm going to take it with me to read while I'm at the service station waiting for my truck tomorrow morning.

I wanted to read this novella before watching Red River. I'm looking forward to delving into both versions of the movie this weekend, though. It's just a question of which one to watch first.

That's what I like about Westerns. You can pick them up and put them down anytime.

Looks like the Dissolve will be going back to the Criterion well and covering Ace in the Hole the week of June 23rd. Any guesses on that third day article?

Hoop Dreams is my #1, by far. If F is for Fake qualifies, that gets my second place vote, then Night and Fog.

For all those that are Costco members, there is an article about the 'new' relationship between Costco and Criterion. It's in their Costco Connection magazine and on the link below:

http://www.costcoconnection.com/connection/201406#pg65

They have some nice stock as of today, but looks like they may be another outlet to grab a few titles from in the future. They usually sell all titles at $19.99, so its a pretty nice deal. Plus for all you case OCD members, you can find one that is mint enough for you...

Dammit, WV is once again the pit of "we don't have that store" around. If I could find them for $20 on a consistent basis... I'd be closer to being broke! We have a Sam's Club... but no Costco.

Kind of the same here, but not so dire. Way back when, I lived near enough to a Costco to make it cost effective to shop there, and even kept my membership up for a while after I moved, and there wasn't one that close to me. When I got married and moved in with my wife, there was a BJs just a hop, skip, and a jump from where we live, so I switched my membership to BJs.

The nearest Costco is about a 45-minute drive from where I am, which isn't too bad, but it's in Massachusetts, so I'd have to pay sales tax. The nearest one in NH is about an hour away.

Nearest (only) Costco: about 100 miles or approx. 2hrs. We have no Sam's Club, Best Buy, Fry's, B&N, etc.

I just finished watching Shane (1953) for the first time, because I'm compelled to check out some classic westerns in my still-unwatched Blu-ray stack before I delve into Red River this weekend. All of the acclaim that I've read about in context to this movie is definitely warranted, and it's a beautiful film across the board, with the Grand Teton scenery serving almost as a character in its own right.

I prefer the Criterion title, 3:10 to Yuma, to Shane by a slim margin, but I admire Van Heflin's acting range in both films.

Bad Pun Alert!-Clint Eastwood's reworking of Shane, Pale Rider pales in comparison.

There's a Costco right up the street from me. It's actually in walking distance from the Barnes & Noble where I buy most of my Criterions. I'd be interested to see what all titles they have in the store, because I have not yet bothered to seek out a membership.

My daughter has pretty much that same layout so when I read about deals I call or text her to get them for me.

Barnes & Noble and Costco are both located about two miles from my apartment. There's a Best Buy less than a mile up the street, and I also live right across the street from a Target. There's also a big multi-screen AMC Theatre two miles up the street.

I often kick around the idea of moving to a less-crowded area that better suits my love of the outdoors, but I'd miss the convenience of living near all of these shops.

I miss Borders Bookstore, which used to be located two miles away as well, because that was where I bought a lot of my Criterion DVDs many years ago. Barnes & Noble does me right when it comes to Criterions, though.

I miss Borders too since it was our only real bookstore and the only place besides Blockbuster that carried Criterions. Now they're both gone and I have only Walmart or Target locally for my Blu-ray buys or trek over to the other side of the island to Costco.

Consider yourself lucky man. BJs are usually a lot harder to come by after marriage.
