I saved nearly $10 buying SOUTHERN COMFORT from blowitoutahere instead of Amazon. It's on backorder but it doesn't matter - saving money is more important

$20.24 shipped. It's $24.99 on Amazon. To anyone without Prime it'll end up setting them back close to $30 with tax. You must've gotten in on a good preorder price

Yeah, pre-ordered when it want up and got it locked in at that price. I missed the Pumpkinhead blu's when they where at $20

I actually can't believe they are charging 30 bucks for Pumpkinhead 2. I've never seen a non-collector's edition go for that price, and I can't really imagine it being loaded by way of supplements.

Amazon's list price is incorrect. According to Shout! Factory, the list price is only supposed to be $24.97.

I don't know - I'm kind of with you here. And I've only watched my copy once. I think the rarity is the only thing keeping me from selling it, lol. It's one of those films I really wanted to like more than I actually did.

There's really only about 50 minutes of extras on the Lake Placid Collector's Edition? That might be one of the more bare collector's editions they've released. Especially when you realize it's the same price as the loaded Phantom of the Paradise coming up. I'm not sure if Phantom is a great deal or Placid is a rip.

I think depends on who's buying really. I'd never spend the same money I spent on a Collector's Edition of Phantom of Paradise on Lake Placid, even if LP had more extras (ok maybe if they shipped Bridget Fonda with the disc), but hey that's just me.

Haha, I would probably whistle a different tune at that myself.

I personally scoffed at a 30 buck price point for LP when they first announced it. That's a title I would see for 5 bucks at Wal mart all the time when I was in college. But the paltry amount of extras they eventually came out for it is kind of inconsistent with their usual "packed" lineups on their CE's, and honestly, even some of their cheaper releases.

I'm starting to think SF's new tag should be "Because you'll pay it." Sure, they haven't made a habit out of these 80 buck things, but seeing how fast those first 1000 Nightbreeds went, I wouldn't be surprised if it happened more and more.

I'm still waiting to see the price for Vincent Price 2, but if the set is anything as cool as the first one than it'll probably be worth it.
