Ok, I've got a brand new Onkyo TX-SR 805 that is not outputting any sound. I've got video working via s-video and HDMI but I can't get sound to work no matter what I do.
All I have hooked up are front left and right speakers. First I tried using the HDMI audio input and nothing. Then I tried using RCA plugs driven from my laptop and nothing. So to eliminate a few variables, I tried using both the AM and FM tuners on both mono and stereo and still nothing. The receiver definitely finds my local radio stations so I know the tuner is working. One thing that I find very strange is that when I go to the setup menu item # 2, which is the "speakers" section, is in grayed out and I cannot select it. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Mark |
