I for one did not know that Brick Mansions was a remake of B13 and therefore saw this movie as extremely good. When you compare an original to a remake, the remake most of the time will definitely fall short. That said, I'm afraid to look at the original in case it would taint what I currently like. Have a look at B13, it's really damn good, even more if you understand french (which is the native language of this movie). I never watched it in english and never will I because my primary language is french. so i cant comment the translation if it fits well or not.
