I had posted a thread yesterday about onkyo saying I could take my receiver a state away and have the fw updated. Wrong! I found a thread on here from a few months ago addressing that subject with a link to the updates. I downloaded it, burnt the cd, even though it took 3 trys to get the download copied right for the receiver to write it. Evidently I did it right as my receiver displayed the update version correctly. before yesterday I never heard of updating a receiver. It was a pain in the ass to have to reset everything afterwards, but was glad I did it right. I know a few people on this site have done it also. one point is that about every time I call tech support for any problems with their products, I usually get the wrong answer! wish they would hire more knowledgable people to answer customer support. I get more correct answers on blu-ray.com! thanks
