Me and my new onkyo 705 - Blu-ray Forum

ok i just got my 7o5 and my 7.1 speaker kit...i was wondering from someone that has one of these receivewrs that use a playstation three two give me the exact steps on how to get the best sound using blu rays. i set the entire thing up and it plays i just dont know which of the surround settings to set it to and which setting to set he playstation to.

please help thank you

If you are getting sound via HDMI, that is the basics for the 705. Run the Audyssey setup and that will create your sound stage. For the PS3, It's a sticky.

The only other thing you will have to do is ensure you're listening to the HD audio track. After watching a few movies, you'll know without looking if you are or not. It's awesome!

ok well i put the setup mic in and ran the setup i have my ps3 format on linear pcm. the only other thing i am curios about is the setting for my 705. when i watch a movie it stays on "GAM neural THX7.1"..there are all sorts of settings you can change it to with the listning buttons but i wanted someone with the 705 to help me figure out what to put it on to get the best audio!
