That was my fault, sorry about that. You had it beat and I jumped in and made the enemies harder to kill.

Then I had some issues at home so wasn't able to finish nightfall with you guys. Just a terrible night.

Thanks for joining, Mega Sr. Corrective Measures has a 100 round clip when upgraded that makes short work of everything.

I do the double jump + R2 for the smash. Then I continue to R2 smash. Are there other attacks? I don't recall R1 doing anything.
I tried out the Corrective Measure. The clip capacity is awesome. Harpies wont stand a chance now. And its Void.

That's the same load out that I use. Except my MG Zombie Apocalypse will be replaced with Corrective Measures.

No worries. With that guardian, I had already done it. I was working on the bounty for Pocket Infinity and it unlocked killing the vex just outside the Nexus, so I figured I'd kill the boss just for giggles. We never did finish it at that time. The next time I tried with a different guardian and got impatient, which always does you in.

My connection has seemed worse since the update. I even asked my wife who is away for the week if she left something on that was using the wifi. She says no.

If I see you on, I'll shoot you a fireteam request. If you have the time, join in, if not, no worries. I should be on and off most of the weekend.

Which update...Destiny or the firmware? While I haven't been kicked, my wifi connection is much slower since the firmware update but I played around with that some last night and it appears that things are much lower on the PS3 as well. So, I'm not sure what is going on. Resetting the router, which usually helps with things like this, didn't work. I mean, it is ridiculously slow...around 1 Mbs/download and 2 Mbs/upload for both the PS4 and the PS3. I started investigating this when trying the Live stuff on the PS4 and videos were pausing every 2 seconds. The feature is pretty much unusable as is. I was sure it was the update but now that it appears the PS3 is also at about the same rate, I don't know what it is. The XB1, while much higher download/upload speeds (and using 5G), is about half of what it use to be. I think I'm going to buy a long ethernet cable (or borrow one from work) just to see how that goes. On my computer, using a wired connection, my speeds are around 180 Mbs/download and 30 Mbs/upload.

Bungie explains why some of Destiny's DLC is on the disc

Destiny's emphasis on exploration somewhat backfired the other week when intrepid pioneers managed to wangle their way into hidden areas that form part of upcoming DLC packs - the first of which, The Dark Below, arrives on 9th December. Speaking to Eurogamer, Bungie president Harold Ryan has offered a defence against ensuing claims that the developer and Activision are cheating players of content that should be included with the main game.

"There's a bunch of shared-world content we've shipped on the disc specifically to limit download sizes for people," he said. "Both inside the US and all over the world, how much you download on your local home internet connection can be a problem, and even how much storage space it takes up on your console.


"So we share a lot of assets across all the activities in the game. When people get into areas that aren't unlocked right now, they're seeing pieces we built and shipped ahead of time, but they're by no means the finished experiences or even the finished content."

The Dark Below is the tale of Eris, a Tower vendor "with a pretty interesting story to tell". She'll send you on a mission to nobble the Hive overlord Crota - a quest that involves one additional Strike, the Will of Crota, and one additional Raid, Crota's End (PS buyers get a second Strike as part of Activision's controversial exclusivity deal with Sony). The pack also includes three new maps and a sprinkling of weapons and gear, and costs £19.99 or $19.99 US.

Responding to the suggestion that Bungie had diverted resources during production to polish up DLC, Ryan insisted that work on The Dark Below didn't begin till very late in development, after the main game had been completed. "Eris and her story were built over the last three months, long after the game was done," he said. "For example for The Dark Below, that included the activities and the bosses and all of the polish of it."

Convinced? A second DLC pack, House of Wolves, is on the way in 2015.

im thinking about bringing my vita just to check it out, but i dont really want to leave it in my hotel room

They basically said this is the new way to cheese him on hard. Guess it will take trial and error to see if it's true though.
