It's going to be done by having armour from the DLC have higher light levels. Would be neat if we could equip more exotics than one but some of them such as armours have perks that may be seen as overpowering.

I would hope maybe multiple exotic weapons could be equipped as they're less likely to carry class boosting perks like armour does. It would be neat and interesting though if we could equip 2 exotic armours and weapons.

I think you'll only be able to get 2 items max so it still won't get you to level 30, but it will help.

Good 2nd half Raid last night fellas. Frustrating at first against Atheon, but after a couple practice runs with the random teleporting, we got it on lock down despite Jon's mic not working at times. When Jon had the relic though, he mastered it and I think we killed Atheon in 2 teleport runs.

I think I'm going to just do Daily, and play a little on my Level 10 Warlock so I won't be online as much tonight.

I tell you what, fully maxed out Gjallarhorn makes short work of atheon on normal. I think it was only me and possibly narmak using it and it just destroys him.

Now I can see why you need a full team using them on hard.

The problem with Atheon was only the chat audio problem and the fact that your approach was not one I was accustomed to. Once I knew what we were doing it was no problem. In my past experience, relic holder always used super on Atheon.

I am curious about what we did in the first two portals. I've never done that before, either.

So I've done 8 raid runs in 4 weeks with 2 characters, and only have raid gauntlets on my warlock and gauntlets and 3 chest pieces with my hunter.

An idea was proposed where you should be able to get a raid ticket instead of armor, and then either Xur or someone else will allow you to redeem the ticket for the raid piece of your choice. That system would work a lot better than this randomness, especially for people like me who have been stuck at 29 for weeks. Now to wait until Tuesday again

I think it was last week when Jose proposed that "relic in the middle" method which I'm pretty sure a lot of other Fireteams use the same method. I really like how it's executed, when the relic holder and the other two come out. We all run in the middle inside the shield and fire at will on Atheon and jump back out. The learning curve is that all 6 Fireteam members must be comfortable shooting down oracles and possibly running with the relic when the are randomly teleported.

Regarding Sunday, I haven't heard from RaijinUT if we're still Raiding Sunday. However, Ric and I are still down to Raid Sunday evening around 6. We'll set something up though. I'm sure Rblu-Dblu (Emperor_Keyser ) would be down also. I'll get with him this morning.

Thanks for the invite JJ or jstinhouer(don't think I got you on my friends list). Yes, there was some confusion at the start of the gates. Always good to learn new techniques. Then, do we meet in the back or center or use shield or fire special? Center with shield worked great. Killed him in two cycles. I got Corrective Measures out of it. This will be my new Harpie control gun.

Corrective Measures is a GREAT weapon. Love how it takes down Minotaurs! 100 round capacity... my goodness!

Yes, definitely in for a Sunday raid. I'm also going to need help with both the nightfall and weekly for both characters any time tomorrow through the weekend. If anyone is on and sees me, I'd welcome the assist. After being out of town all week, I plan to make up my Destiny time over the next 3 days.

Teleport, jump, shield up. 3...2...jump back.

Finished it in 2 teleports since I was able to grab it. I've always done it that way (save cheese) - I knew it could fire the beam, but I figure a team of 6 for 25 seconds could hit for more than firing the beam once or twice. A little confusion at the outset, but it's to be expected when it's a new group of people coming together. We kept losing Jon on the mic for some reason too.

As for the gatekeeper tactic, it's solid, I like it. I went into both portals solo to bring the GK down to 5% or so. "Last Action Hero over here," as I like to repeat. Then with 5 people outside having the gate always open and minotaurs controlled is no issue, and the center conflux is always defended.

Anyway, all I got was shards and the jumpship. I NEED to get my other guy up to 20 ASAP. Maybe by Sunday so I can join you guys raiding again.

Yes, great job! Also, your machine gun tip worked awesome for the supplicants. I now have a good loadout for both inside and outside the portal. VoC/AE (in the portal), Ice Breaker (for DPS on Atheon), and Swarm (outside the portal). Hope to do it with you guys again.

I still need nightfall and heroic for two guardians. Tried nightfall solo last night and died at the Nexus. Bad luck.

My connection has seemed worse since the update. I even asked my wife who is away for the week if she left something on that was using the wifi. She says no.
