I have now taken a brief look at the two movies and PQ wise I must say that 21 looks better.

Both movies are AVC encoded and while "21" frequents just below 30 Mbps, "Bank Job" frequents around 20 Mbps and just do not look as good as "21". Don't get me wrong.. "Bank Job" looks good, just not as good as "21" and many other recent releases. To get the feel of an older movie, the colors are also washed out (but that is not a Blu issue).

AQ seems great for both movies.

Bank Job got tons of trailers you had to click past to get to the menu.. I hate that.. When I buy a movie I don't want to click through 10 trailers!! Why do they keep doing that?? 21 on the other hand only have a Blu-ray commerial before the menu.

So it is safe to say I am not as impressed by the Bank Job PQ as the guy in this thread:

Money, money, money, money.... they're trying to entice you to get more of their specific product, so they can get more money out of you...

Personally, I think the studios are starting to see more people are skipping theatres and waiting for these films to come out at home... putting trailers on DVDs and Blu-rays is their insurance policy. They are just increasing the exposure to their upcoming films...

I don't mind trailers either if they let me watch them by choice. It is enough that they keep them in the menu.. They don't have to play 10 trailers before the menu is even shown. Don't you think?

ok 10 is a little much because they will probably put those same trailers in the trailers section of the extras section but if they put like maybe 2 or 3 before the main menu thats ok and then in trailers section just add the other 7 or 8 more trailers

give me 10 teasers, but trailers these days give away the entire film... that eagle eye movie with shia coming out, that one looks goood. too bad from watching the trailer, I know the evolution of the entire film. Does it stop me from seeing it, no (most likely rent or buy on blu), but whatever anticipation I may have had from a teaser is totally gone. Trailers kill the buzz for me... they take the fun out of movies.
