Default Bankers help me out: what are "bank ledger sheets" and "pass books"?

Thanks for your help.

I know what a checkbook is. (I know my wife does). And I know what a checkbook register is, and a statement.

No idea what "bank ledger sheets" and "pass books" are.

Agreed on the bolded.

Here is what a passbook is.

It is more or less ancient and not used anymore.

They've been requested in a subpoena, and I'm like "what the heck are these things."

Thanks for your responses.

I have been in banking for 17 years. Believe it or not, but they are still around.

It is usually an old customer who still has them. The passbooks are often used like a checkbook, but with a savings account. The old accounts are also the ones that are usually grandfathered in and allowed to keep using them as well.

hmmmm, you can probably just use statements and checkbooks instead, they might have just used a different language, if you have an attorney for whatever the issue is, he/she can probably confirm that for you though
