A Muppet Christmas Carol is my favorite Scrooge retelling.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is a must every holiday.

Disney's Twice Upon A Christmas is fun.

Ditto; the intro song is really good, too.

A LOT!

Borrowed Hearts (a Roma Downey tv movie which is amazing)
Muppet Christmas Carol
Polar Express
A Charlie Brown Christmas
My Christmas: An Andrea Bocelli concert (amazing in DTS!!)

There are others, but those are my favorites!

Do you think any more of the Rankin/Bass christmas specials will be released onto Blu-ray? Like A Year Without Santa Claus, Frosty's Winter Wonderland and Jack Frost.

There's also this exclusive set which seems to be OOP which included The Little Drummer Boy / Cricket On The Hearth / Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol which haven't gotten their individual releases yet.

None. I don't even celebrate Xmas anymore.

However, if forced to choose, it would be Bad Santa. As a matter of fact, I may very well watch that this Xmas, since it's been a while since I saw it.

Just checked, Netflix still has it for streaming. I may watch that and Happy Christmas, which I really enjoyed.

If I ask you why, will we get a tirade that will get the thread locked?

Not at all. I'm just older now (mid-40s) and it was never a religious event for me, as I'm an atheist. So with most of my family gone or living away, and with few friends ... what's really the point?

I mean, when I was a kid it was exciting. Having a tree and all that stuff. Getting up in the morning and unwrapping presents. Etc. Now though? It would just be more trouble than it's worth, frankly.

I'd rather sit back on the couch, pour a vodka/tonic, put LotR EE in the BR player, and chill out with Middle Earth. Or have a mini Kevin Smith marathon. Or watch a bunch of my favorite Hitchcock movies. And I don't want to have to get dressed. That's key.

What age did you stop believing in Santa Claus because, If you're an Atheist, and you knew Santa Claus, and his reindeer never existed, why were you even celebrating Christmas at all?
