DVD Piracy still on the rise?

I always said that copy protection would attract the movie studios.
I can recall one of my earliest threads almost 4 years ago where I suggested it.

When the world becomes nearly all blu the copying of discs should be virtually extinct because the copy protection is much tougher. But I am also realistic in knowing that any encryption can eventually be broken.

HD DVD had the right idea. Just don't make HD DVD burners.
