Well, according to this article, FURY ROAD takes place immediately after BEYOND THUNDERDOME, and Mel Gibson is in it (though, admittedly, as a different character), so careful with asserting anything regarding this film as inarguable truth at this point.

Reboot, sequel... it's just another Mad Max movie, just like the James Bond films. Not sure why it has to be labeled one way or another.

My guess is he's still there, it's just no one recognized him because he doesn't go off on an anti-Semitic rant.

Gibson isn't in the film - it was only a rumour:

"Miller denied reports that Mel Gibson, who played Max in the first three Mad Max movies, has a cameo role.

''It would have been nice somehow but, no, it's not true,'' he said."

It's going to be released sometime in May as a Blu-ray + DVD combo pack.

I can't wait to see the cover art for this one.

I MAY get this ONLY if there are some new interviews or commentaries from Mel Gibson, if not ill be happy with my 2010 release BR. What worries me a bit about Fury Road is when Miller said he wants the new film to be "almost a continuous chase, with relatively little dialogue". Not really sure how well that would turn out but we'll see.

Damn, guys, it was a joke. A quick look at my BD collection will show no shortage of Mel Gibson titles. Lighten up. The world's a better place when you laugh more. I'm getting too old for this shit...

How did they do this? The Road Warrior now has lossless audio and Thunderdome looks much better than the DVD. Yeah, they would look better with new masters, but for now I am satisfied.

No special features.

Mad Max 2 only has a commentary, Beyond Thunderdome a trailer. Compared to the existing releases of the first movie...
