Don't know if he was supposed to be the scarecrow in this scene or not, but I did see Cillian Murphy in close-up in a guard's uniform on the ferry. Could it be an escape ploy?
I don't think that was him, I'm 99% sure it was the guy that harvey was interrogating when batman interrupted him.

I thought it was a trick because Bruce said something about, "cheap parlor tricks to cover up your true identity, Ras." That just made me think the other Ras (Ken Watanabe) was just a cover.

You know, we never actually saw Liam Neeson's character die; he just closed his eyes and faced the inevitable crash. There is a possibility--however small when considering Nolan's preference for realism--that he never actually died. I personally love Liam as an actor and would love to see him return, but it probably won't happen. Like I said, Nolan likes for his movies to be realistic and the chances of surviving that crash would be slim to none.

At a minimum Ledger should receive a best supporting nomination.

Went today - noon showing on a Monday (I have the week off from work) and the theatre was still 3/4's full

Simply amazing movie - over 2 hours and it moved along at a great pace. Performances were amazing and this movie really seemed more about Dent (IMHO) as everyone was who they were - and Dent had the true character development in this one.

It's funny to read all the threads and the only thing anyone can say bad about this movie isn't about the movie - but that they are tired of reading all the threads from fanboys like me

not really true. i can say some bad things specifically about the movie, but haven't done so so as not to spoil it for those who haven't seen it yet.

I agree, it's a fantastic movie but there were a couple of areas of the film that kept it from being perfect IMO.

Ra's Al Ghul comes back to life/escapes death many times in the comics, using "Lazarus Pits." Life-giving oasis' that can only be used once.

Whoa! Could he really come back to life in the future movies? I also read that he has a daughter too, is that true?

Yep its true he does have a daughter. In the comic they had a story arch where Bruce Wayne fell in love with his daughter and was willing to give up being Batman for her.

Give up being Batman? Is he nuts? Let me guess....turned out that she was palying him all along, right? Probably wanted revenge?

Default Amazing Batman/Bruce Wayne scenes in The Dark Knight

Heath Ledger was amazing as the Joker. There's no disputing that. However there were a LOT of cool Batman moments in this movie too. Here are a few of my faves!

SPOILER ALERT!!!

.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.

[Show spoiler]The part where Batman goes all sonar and his eye shield glows white. I loved how he was able to see everything in the building!

The jump off of the Hong Kong building where he glided over to the other building.

The motorcycle chase scenes. Especially where the tumbler self-destructs and we see the motorcycle come out of it.

I love the sound effect when Batman would hit someone. It sounded like everytime he hit someone, bones broke and nobody was getting up for round 2!

The scene where Batman goes all "postal" in the interrogation room with the Joker.

The Bruce Wayne/Harvey Dent exchange in the restaurant.

The scene where Bruce Wayne arrives at the fund raiser in the helicopter with the 3 hot chicks.

The part where Bruce Wayne's asleep at his own board meeting.

I will tell you, I watched that movie in a regular theater and in IMAX. I must say my favorite scenes were usually the ones in IMAX. The Harvey Dent transport scene was phenomenal and so was the final scene. I cannot wait for this to come out on blu so I can really enjoy it on my tv.
