I understand your point. Having over seen transfers as a consultant it all depends how is timing the transfer. Because of the way films are done today all you need is younger person at the controls who is used to the video based edit stations of today's films they by assuming it should look the same. It would be an honest mistake out to ignorance. However, it should be caught by someone over seeing the project.

I haven't seen this film since I was a kid, but I remember loving it. Just received my new bluray this week, and I just had the best time watching it after all these years. Now as an adult, the 'boring parts' make more sense to me and are no longer boring. This film has great characters, great scenery, special effects, cinematography, great acting, pre-'Raiders of the Lost Ark" action, and is all around a wonderful film.

Sadly, MY kids will prefer Brendan Fraiser's version over this because this one is just too 'old' for them. (sigh) Kids today......
