While I agree that these things can and often should matter, at some point a movie should be compelling enough where the presentation isn't as dominant a player in your mind. Focusing on slight trends and variations as opposed to major flaws do both the movie and your viewing experience a disservice. I'm not the first to say it here on the forum, but it bears repeating: Sometimes life is too short.

And that is sometimes why I semi avoid forum talk and online reviews/screencaps for favorite movies of mine. lol. Dont want to get hung up on the details all the time. Some of the time, yes...

well, at least to me, discussing the teal or any bit and tiny detail in Bluray releases, keeps my mind off my real problems.

I understand your point. Having over seen transfers as a consultant it all depends how is timing the transfer. Because of the way films are done today all you need is younger person at the controls who is used to the video based edit stations of today's films they by assuming it should look the same. It would be an honest mistake out to ignorance. However, it should be caught by someone over seeing the project.

I haven't seen this film since I was a kid, but I remember loving it. Just received my new bluray this week, and I just had the best time watching it after all these years. Now as an adult, the 'boring parts' make more sense to me and are no longer boring. This film has great characters, great scenery, special effects, cinematography, great acting, pre-'Raiders of the Lost Ark" action, and is all around a wonderful film.

Sadly, MY kids will prefer Brendan Fraiser's version over this because this one is just too 'old' for them. (sigh) Kids today......

Yeah, I remember watching Deep Throat when I was a horny 18-year-old and not caring one bit that the film was as grainy as heck.

I've been saying it for years. I'm convinced there are a select few on here that can't be happy until they have found flaws in a given transfer. I understand wanting the best viewing experience possible, and I'm all for that...but not to the point of literally pausing a BD hundreds, if not thousands, of times to analyze every pixel.
Eh, to each his/her own, I suppose...but yes, life is way too short indeed!

Everyone in those screenshots having the same skin color as Ric Flair seemed like a more obvious issue than something which requires going through every single frame looking for errors, but looking at DVD screenshots apparently that was just how they looked, since Arlene Dahl looks like a human. Man, those guys had some disgusting fake tans. Haha. It's like a manually-done version of the Michael Bay teal/orange color scheme to make the skin on Megan Fox look as drippy and sleazy as possible.
