2k is 1080p for widescreen movies. "I don't believe we'll be seeing 2k transfers of films anytime soon" heh, What? 1.9k (1920) is soooooooo 1% area degraded from the 1960 pixel wide projected image from a 2k (2048) Super-35 scan. If he only knew that something like Goodfellas scanned at 2k only makes a 930 x 1720 scan. I guess I really don't have two hundred 2k discs. I feel so unrealized. |
