Awesome man, they haven't been to my neck of the woods since 1991... hoping they come back at some point They do put on a kick butt show no matter what crappy album they are supporting lol

I do have front row tickets for alice cooper in october though lol

You are not missing much, i seen them maybe 5 years ago now when they were stadium touring with korn and kid rock and it was one of only two concert in my life i left early on. That was my 8th and last time seeing them live. They lost it long ago and no way in hell with James voice being shot will they ever be what they once were!

Remember 1991 is almost 2 decades ago now, they are no longer worth taking the time to go see live imo. They were the best to see live back then, but that torch got passed to Tool long ago and with the garbage situation of music these days imo still hold that title of best live band there is!

i was a huge metallica fan and kept giving them chances. I am officially done with them and i only see myself going to their concert when they say it will be their last tour and even than i might reconsider it .

I've seen them about 4 x and it's been awesome but i've refused to listen or see them since their new bassist. He looks like a monkey out there.

That was friggin' hilarious! I must agree, though I'll probably break-down and buy the CD if the fan reviews look positive. I'm not holding my breath, though.

Robert does resemble some sort of animal but he is pretty good... former bassist for Suicidal Tendancies... back in their glory days!

Robert is an amzing bass player. He puts Newstead to shame. He is a little more versitile as far as other genres go than Burton. He is not as good as Burton, but at least he playes with his fingers like a real man.

there's no doubt Trujillo is an amazing bass player ... but the times i've seen him up there just looks weird performing, doesn't mesh well at all. but there's no questioning his talent.

I'm going to listen to sample and hear the radio singles before I make a decision.

i went to the sanatarium concert but it was AWESOME. it was in dallas and James was actually injured with a back injury so he wasn't available so they mixed metallica with other members of the other bands like Korn , etc . It was definitely a once in a lifetime show and it was awesome. What was even better was that they gave a free tour 2 months later with James there so it was two concerts for the price of one.
