oOo. I'm a master debater, so this should be fun.

First off, what are you laughing at in Total Recall? I don't recall that movie being funny (at least not intentionally)

Generally for me, it's not even so much the lines in a movie that are funny. I don't often find myself laughing at the actual jokes per se, more in the way a character acts or delivers their lines.

Eugene Levy is a great example. It's rarely what he's saying that's funny, but all how he says it and his facial expressions. Steve Carell is also so great at being funny just when acting normal.

I personally find Will Ferrel funny most of the time too. Only when he's a little more toned down though.

There haven't been a ton of great comedies lately. I really loved Knocked Up though. Liked Be Kind Rewind as well (not the serious parts). 40 yr old virgin was also a lot of fun and definitely made me laugh.

I hated things like Borat, Jackass (that's supposed to be funny right?), and really any movie where people are just too over the top in trying to be funnier. Haven't big a big fan of Sandler films lately either, but I did really like Rob Schneiders part in 'Chuck and Larry'

Oh and if you want a good laugh - check out Jackie Chan's Gorgeous. Don't think I've laughed that much in a long time.
