My dad doesn't ride motorcycles anymore but still thinks they are cool and likes the models and has bike parts in his game room and he has thought about buying a display bike just to have in there. He should just donate the money for that to charity since he'll never ride it?

He shouldn't be brow beat for how he spends his money. I agree. But he should maybe be brow beat for fronting on the internet when he has absolutely nothing of deeper merit to say. And it does sound like you're taking this a little too personally.
