Most of the time the WB slips in stores are dodgy, for the 3Ds for Gatsby and Gravity I could never find a mint one. However even if the slips were bad NO WAY I would be going without a 3D copy! It's 3D or nothing. (for this film)

The majority of the films don't come with a digital copy anyways (nor does the anthology if I'm not mistaken) so you could just buy the previous films used. Granted pre-Fury Road would have been the best time to search on ebay, since Mad Max just became popular again so I'd assume there will be a price hike. Just do a quick price check.

Besides you have time, pretty sure the price for the anthology will drop soon, as will the individual films.

That's one fine lookin' steelbook, that's for sure. Just opted for the standard release from Amazon, myself. Should be here this afternoon.

Picked up the 3D pack. It'd be nice of they made a 3D steelbook, but oh well.

Picked up my pre-ordered Steelbook from Best Buy @ lunch. The service associate told me I was lucky to get a copy, they had turned people away and were completely sold out. This film is going to sell a lot of Blu Rays!

Did anyone notice that there's TWO Target exclusives? One has no slip cover and includes an "exclusive infographic" and the other is the 64 page comic book...

Received my Amazon pre-order of the 3D version today. Can't wait to watch this and gauge for myself if the IMDb rating of 8.3 is justified.

Nice to know Amazon is fulfilling delivery for pre-orders on this one. They just ignored mine for some reason. Shot them an e-mail about it for now.

Anyway, YMMV, but I rated it 9/10. It just completely caught me off guard and was my favorite movie of the summer by far. (Which just makes it even more disappointing that Amazon dropped the ball for me.)

Well I went through two steelbooks and after neither copy would snap close correctly I decided to say screw the steelbook and ended up going for the 3D version instead, which is the one I wanted really anyway, I'm just a sucker for steelbooks. The slip that comes with the 3D version is pretty nice too.

My Top 5 Films of All-Time:
1. Die Hard
2. T2/The Rock
3. The Matrix
4. The Dark Knight
5. Mad Max:Fury Road

Went to 3 So. Cal Best Buys. 10:30 am, 11:00 am and 11:30 am. No Steels available. Plenty of all other editions however. Last store's Customer Service person said no store in this area received their steel books at all. Maybe by Friday.

Went to Best Buy before the opened. Head in and no steel. Two other guys were looking for it also. Asked an associate who casually said they were in the back and she'd have to bring them out. I guess 10 am is too early an opening time for them to have products out... We wait 15 minutes (yes 15 minutes) and she comes back wheeling an entire display. She then scoops up all the steels and says she has to go check preorders first. So, just another part of their job they haven't done. After she does that she returns with five steels. Me and the two other guys get ours and two copies make it to the display. Way to handle your exclusive Worst Buy.

I went to Walmart during my lunch and grabbed a regular edition. They had no more 3D in stock and only 4 regular. Lucky I decided to go now instead of when I get off.

I'm at work and called Santa Clarita, Pacoima, Porter Ranch, Northridge. Zilch.

Should have pre-ordered but I guess there's some hope if the CS said they didn't get any in this area.

I'm going to buy the Target Exclusive if it's available after work. That book looks nice from the photo in the Target thread.

I give a value of about $10 to the actual Steelbook packaging. I remember paying $22.99 for American Sniper steelbook and then the price in less than a month went down to $10 for the regular edition. I could not justify the difference in price difference and returned the steelbook

I'd still like to get the steelbook and will periodically check BB during the week.

And I honestly can't complain too much about Best Buy as I got a PM on that Sci-fi box [who's title we dare not mention] and the 22.99 gift card. So Best Buy did me a solid there.

Not sure. The sticker says see reverse side for details. That one is priced 19.99 while the comic exclusive is $3 more.

It was $24.99 for the American Sniper steelbook as Warner set that price for all SKUs of that release.
